Barely at the end of 2020, Marseille got off to a good start in its first match of 2021 by beating Montpellier 3-1 Wednesday at the Stade Vélodrome, on the occasion of the 18th day of Ligue 1.
Marseille, who had only taken one point in the previous three days, opened the scoring with Radonjic just before the break (41st).
Mollet equalized for Montpellier (1-1, 52nd), a goal contested by the Marseillais, who claimed a preliminary offside from Delort.
But at the end of the match, OM took back the lead by Payet (80th) and Germain (84th).
OM remain 5th but are still in contact with the top teams and have two games to go.
