Langenhagen (dpa / lni) - The fire department has deployed a large contingent to a fire in a warehouse in Langenhagen.

Thick black smoke rose over the site in the north of the Hanover region on Wednesday morning, as the fire department announced.

More than 100 firefighters were in action during the full fire, and forces from the neighboring airport fire brigade also helped with the extinguishing work.

According to the police, the hall should belong to a tire service.

The company was therefore closed on Wednesday.

There was initially no information about the injured.

"There are always smaller explosions in the hall during the extinguishing work," said the spokesman for the Langenhagen fire department, Stephan Bommert. According to the police, it was initially unclear what exactly was burning in the hall and what the trigger was. The traffic in front of the company premises was diverted.
