Amberg (dpa / lby) - A 74-year-old pedestrian was hit at a traffic light in Amberg in the Upper Palatinate and was seriously injured.

The police said on Wednesday that a 73-year-old had strayed from the street with her car.

The exact cause was initially unknown.

The elderly woman caught the waiting pedestrian and drove against a light pole.

The woman was taken to hospital on Tuesday afternoon after the accident.

The driver was slightly injured.
