Frankfurt (Oder) (dpa / bb) - Police officers have found a body in a burned-out apartment in a house in Frankfurt (Oder).
According to initial findings, it could be the 59-year-old resident, the police said on Wednesday.
However, an unequivocal identification is still pending.
No information could yet be given about the cause of death.
Last Sunday, the upper floor and the roof structure of the house in the Boossen district caught fire for as yet unknown cause.
Because the building was in danger of collapsing after the fire, the detectives could only start work after the house had been secured.
They found the dead on Tuesday.
