This was announced at a press conference by the head of the Metropolitan Police, Robert Conti.
“If it is found that you are violating the curfew, the police will have to take action.
I want to reiterate and clarify: please observe the curfew, otherwise (violators) persons will be subject to arrest, ”said Conti.
Earlier, Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser announced a curfew in the city amid unrest near the Capitol.
