Berlin (dpa) - The Berlin Senate is discussing today at a special meeting on the implementation of the extension of the lockdown decided by the federal and state governments to contain the corona pandemic.
The state's Infection Protection Ordinance must be updated and adapted in accordance with the resolutions.
At an online conference on Tuesday, Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) and the heads of government of the federal states agreed on an extension of the lockdown rules originally agreed until January 10th until the end of the month.
Many shops, schools and daycare centers will therefore remain closed.
At the same time, the federal and state governments decided to impose even stricter contact restrictions in the private sector.
