Munich (dpa / lby) - In times of the Corona crisis, the Bavarian amateur soccer clubs are very worried about their offspring.

79.4 percent of the surveyed club officials from the Free State named the absence or loss of children and young people for football as the biggest structural problem.

This is the result of a survey that the Bavarian Football Association (BFV) commissioned.

Between December 2 and 15, 2020, 1664 club managers in Bavaria were surveyed.

Game operations are currently not possible due to the second nationwide lockdown.

In December 2020, the Bavarian State Sports Association reported a total membership decrease of 2.0 percent compared to the previous year.

The decline was particularly significant among children (5.0 percent) and young people (3.7 percent).
