Wismar (dpa / mv) - Two women were injured in accidents involving wild animals in northwest Mecklenburg.

As a police spokeswoman said on Tuesday in Wismar, the clashes with a wild boar and a deer occurred on Monday.

In the dark, a 16-year-old motorcyclist collided with a deer on Landesstraße 102 near Lübow in the evening.

The young driver could no longer hold the motorcycle, fell and was taken to a clinic.

The deer died.

Previously, a 61-year-old car driver at Dassow had collided with a wild boar on federal highway 105.

The driver came to a clinic with injuries and a shock, the car was no longer ready to drive and had to be towed away.

The robust wild boar fled and has not yet been found, the spokeswoman said.

The total damage to the vehicles was estimated at several thousand euros.

The police registered a total of 10 such accidents involving deer and wild boar in the region within 24 hours - but without any further injuries.
