The start of the 41st Gulf Summit with the participation of the UAE

The work of the 41st summit of leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council states, with the participation of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, was launched at the Maraya Center in Al Ula Governorate in the Madinah region, at the head of the state delegation.

On Tuesday, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman inaugurated the Gulf summit, announcing its name "Sultan Qaboos and Sheikh Sabah Summit."

He added, "We face challenges to confront Iran's disruptive behavior."

The Saudi crown prince considered that "Iranian activities aim to destabilize the region," and added, "We face the challenges of Iran's sabotage behavior."

Prince Muhammad bin Salman praised the Kuwaiti and American roles, to heal the rift between the countries of the region, stressing the role of the summit in strengthening brotherhood.

Prince Muhammad bin Salman said, at the Gulf summit, that “these efforts led to reaching the Al-Ula statement agreement that will be signed at this summit, in which emphasis was placed on solidarity and stability in the Gulf, Arab and Islamic countries, and the strengthening of bonds of friendship and brotherhood between our countries and peoples, in a way that serves their hopes and aspirations. ».

The Saudi Crown Prince added: “Today we are in dire need to unify our efforts to advance our region and confront the challenges that surround us, especially the threats posed by the Iranian nuclear program and Tehran's ballistic missile program and its destructive sabotage projects that it and its proxies adopt from terrorist and sectarian activities aimed at destabilizing security and stability in the region. "It puts us in front of the responsibility to call on the international community to work seriously to stop these programs and projects that threaten regional and international peace and security."

He continued: “This entity was established based on the special relationship between our countries and common denominators represented by the bonds of belief, kinship and the common destiny of our peoples, and from this standpoint we must all realize the lofty goals and foundations upon which the Council is based to complete the process and achieve integration in all fields.”

Prince Muhammad bin Salman announced the launch of the name "Sultan Qaboos and Sheikh Sabah Summit" at the Al-Ula summit, in gratitude for the great work they had done over decades in support of the march of the Gulf Cooperation Council.

Earlier, leaders of the GCC countries and their representatives arrived in Al-Ula, to attend the Gulf summit, while delegations were received by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at Prince Abdul Majeed bin Abdulaziz airport in Al-Ula.

A Qatari delegation headed by the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, also arrived to participate in the Gulf summit.
