Munich (dpa / lby) - According to a recent survey, the vast majority of Bavarians consider the current Corona measures to be ineffective.

With the hard lockdown, which was decided before Christmas, "the situation will still not be under control," said 72 percent of those surveyed by the GMS Institute for the television station Sat.1 Bayern.

Only 24 percent expect success.

Two thirds of the respondents in the Free State said they had now lost track of the Corona regulations.

Two thirds also agreed to be vaccinated - just under a third do not want to.

For the “17:30 SAT.1 Bayern voter check”, GMS interviewed 1005 representatively selected citizens by telephone from December 29th to January 4th.

Accordingly, 77 percent said they could not imagine participating in protests against the Corona policy.

In contrast, 67 percent of AfD voters and 25 percent of Greens voters said they could imagine it.

Satisfaction with the work of the state government remains high at 72 percent.

Even 84 percent of those surveyed see Markus Söder as a good Prime Minister.

This is also reflected in the voting intentions: If there were state elections next Sunday, the CSU would get 48 percent, the Greens would get 18 percent.

Behind them are the SPD with 8 percent, the Free Voters with 7, the AfD with 6 and the FDP with 4 percent.

Bayern expressed skepticism towards the three candidates for the CDU chairmanship.

When asked: "Who would you personally prefer to be the new CDU chairman: Laschet, Merz or Röttgen?"

33 percent opted for Friedrich Merz, 16 percent for Norbert Röttgen, 13 percent for Armin Laschet and 33 percent “for none of the three”.

Among the CSU supporters, 32 percent voted for Merz, 17 percent for Röttgen, 16 percent for Laschet and 31 percent for none of the three.
