Schwerin (dpa / mv) - Prime Minister Manuela Schwesig (SPD) has asked the federal government to ensure a faster replenishment of corona vaccines.
"It is important that we increase the production of vaccine doses so that vaccine procurement is faster," said Schwesig on Tuesday after the state heads of government had recently had video consultations with Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) on the corona situation.
Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania has created vaccination capacities that are sufficient to vaccinate twice as many people as there are currently vaccination doses available.
According to Schwesig, Merkel and Health Minister Jens Spahn (CDU) have given assurances that the provision will be significantly better.
