Hanover (dpa / lni) - School lessons and childcare in Lower Saxony will initially be severely restricted until the end of January after the federal-state consultations on the corona crisis.

At secondary schools, there are no face-to-face classes but homeschooling, except for final classes, said Prime Minister Stephan Weil (SPD) on Tuesday evening in Hanover.

For primary schools, the holidays are extended by one week, after which there are alternating lessons with divided classes.

Child care in day care centers will be converted to emergency care with an offer reduced to 50 percent.
