  According to previous reports, on November 26, 2020, the Tachikawa branch of the Tokyo District Court held a trial of the suspect in the case of the murder of 9 people in Zama City, Kanagawa Prefecture. At that time, the Japanese prosecutor asked the court to sentence him to death.

  On December 15, 2020, the Tachikawa branch of the Tokyo District Court in Japan issued a verdict and sentenced Shiraishi Takahiro to death.

  According to reports, after the verdict was pronounced, Shiraishi Takahiro’s lawyer refused to accept the verdict and appealed to the Tokyo High Court.

However, Shiraishi Longhao himself subsequently withdrew the appeal.

  The court said that since the appeal period expires at 0:00 local time on January 5, 2021, the previous death sentence will also come into effect.

  In 2017, Shiraishi Takahiro strangled 9 victims and dismembered their bodies within two months at his residence in Zama City.

The 9 victims included 8 women and 1 man.

The case shocked all of Japan at the time.
