Berlin (dpa) - Berlin's Governing Mayor Michael Müller has called for vaccine deliveries to be "stabilized" in the Corona crisis.

It is good that vaccination is now a second pillar in the fight against pandemics in addition to the restrictions, said the SPD politician on Tuesday after a switch between the Prime Minister and Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU).

But planning security for the next few months is very important to the countries.

In Berlin, for example, it is already about inviting tens of thousands to the vaccination centers.

"And of course it is important to be able to give people reliable deadlines," says Müller.

"We are well prepared in the federal states," added the politician who is currently chairman of the Prime Minister's Conference (MPK). "If the vaccine deliveries are now also continued, we will have another pillar, another pillar, in order to be able to react well to Corona in addition to our measures." There must be a long-term perspective here, "in order to actually relieve people and enable them to take steps back to normal".
