In order to contain the corona pandemic, the federal and state governments are further restricting citizens' contacts, and in regions with many new infections also the freedom of movement.
As Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) said on Tuesday in Berlin after consultations with the Prime Ministers of the federal states, people in regions where the number of infections is more than 200 per 100,000 inhabitants within a week should only move within a radius of Move 15 kilometers around the place of residence.
Exceptions apply for valid reasons such as necessary shopping or the commute.
Day trips, for example to ski areas, should be prevented.
According to current data from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), 68 districts in Germany currently exceed the threshold value of 200 for the seven-day incidence. which are in Saxony and Thuringia.
