Berlin (dpa / bb) - A person was injured in a fire in a seven-story residential building in Berlin-Kreuzberg.

As the fire brigade announced, the emergency services had rescued him from his burning apartment on Blücherstrasse on Tuesday morning.

The fire brigade could not say anything about the type of injury.

The other residents of the house had brought themselves to safety.

Another tenant was treated by an emergency doctor but did not have to go to the hospital.

The fire brigade had arrived with around 100 emergency services.

The fire was extinguished after about two hours.

The apartment on fire is no longer habitable.

The cause of the fire was initially unknown.
