It was at 02:45 on Tuesday night that the alarm came in.
- No one was injured but the owner had to break a window and escape, says Martin Lusth, RLC officer at the police command center.
During the night and morning, the Rescue Service has worked diligently to limit the fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby buildings.
By 06 o'clock, the over-lit villa had basically burned to the ground and the guard could be handed over to the property owner.
- We will send a police patrol there in the morning to investigate what has happened, says Martin Lusth.
