Kiel (dpa / lno) - Schleswig-Holstein's Prime Minister Daniel Günther (CDU) believes the planned stricter contact restrictions are necessary.

“I know it's tough,” said Günther on Tuesday evening after the federal and state consultations on the situation in the corona pandemic.

But also in Schleswig-Holstein the infection numbers are "still alarmingly high".

A further restriction of the contacts is necessary.

In the future, private get-togethers in the north will only be permitted with members of the household and with a maximum of one other person who does not live in the household. The corona lockdown, which was previously limited to January 10, with closed shops, restaurants and leisure facilities, is to be extended to January 31, and in some cases tightened, in Schleswig-Holstein.
