Hamburg (dpa / lby) - With two new players, FC St. Pauli wants to gain new momentum in the relegation battle of the 2nd Bundesliga.
The bottom of the table loaned goalkeeper Dejan Stojanovic from English second division club Middlesbrough on Tuesday;
VfL Wolfsburg striker Omar Marmoush is also on loan.
Both will initially stay until the end of the season.
St. Pauli will play the catch-up game at the Würzburger Kickers on Wednesday evening (6.30 p.m. / Sky).
"We see this as a huge opportunity to leave the direct relegation zone," said coach Timo Schultz.
The Hamburger stand with eight points in 17th place in the table.
Behind them, Würzburg comes in at the bottom with just four points.
The meeting was originally supposed to take place on December 16, but had to be postponed due to a corona infection in the Würzburg team.
