Accused of incest on one of his step-sons in a book to be published Thursday, the political scientist Olivier Duhamel announced on Monday that he would end all of his functions, including that of president of the National Foundation for Political Science (FNSP).

"Being the object of personal attacks, and wishing to preserve the institutions in which I work, I put an end to my functions", writes on Twitter the political scientist, who also hosts a program on Europe 1 and is a columnist on LCI.

She and her brother are the children of ex-minister Bernard Kouchner and law professor Evelyne Pisier (who died in 2017), who then married political scientist Olivier Duhamel.

In her book, Camille Kouchner ensures that sexual assaults have been repeated for years.

“My book tells how many people knew about it,” she says in an interview with L'Obs.

“Of course, I thought my book might sound obscene because of my family's notoriety.

Then I said to myself: that's exactly why we have to do it, ”she also said.

Olivier Duhamel is also leaving several media 

"A heavy secret which weighed on us for too long has been happily lifted", reacted Bernard Kouchner in a statement sent to AFP by his lawyer Maryline Lugosi.

“I admire the courage of my daughter Camille,” he also indicated.

Solicited by Le Monde and L'Obs, Olivier Duhamel said he had "nothing to say" and did not wish to react to these accusations.

He could not be reached by AFP on Monday evening.

The National Foundation of Political Science (FNSP), of which Olivier Duhamel was the president, took note of his resignation "for personal reasons", according to an internal message consulted by AFP.

The FNSP is responsible for the major strategic orientations and the administrative and financial management of Sciences Po. Its director, Frédéric Mion said he was "in shock" upon reading these revelations.

Referring to the tweet published by Olivier Duhamel, the LCI news channel told AFP that the political scientist would no longer be on its antenna.

"He is also leaving the presentation of the Mediapolis program on Europe 1", announced the radio on its website.
