The petition launched by Stéphane Ravacley resonates like a cry from the heart.

“

Help us save our super apprentice baker from being expelled from the country

In one week,

 collected more than 120,000 signatures.

To strengthen this mobilization, the boss of the bakery La Huche à Pain in Besançon has acted on his warning.

On Sunday January 3, he went on a hunger strike.

The apprentice in question is a young man of 18 from Guinea.

He has been working at Stéphane Ravacley for a year and a half and is preparing his baker's CAP.

But while he must pass his diploma next June, he is under an obligation to leave French territory (OQTF) and can no longer work.

“

The state has broken his apprenticeship contract.

He has therefore not been with the company since January 2,

indicates Stéphane Ravacley.

He went to the Guinean embassy to obtain information on his identity for the next administrative hearing scheduled for the end of the month.

 "

Alone to prepare his bread and pastries, the artisan baker fights to publicize the administrative situation of his apprentice.

“

I still received visits from people from the prefecture, who know that I am determined.

So it reinforces my desire to continue, that's for sure.

Stéphane Ravacley is ready to continue his hunger strike until his apprentice returns.
