January 05, 2021 US intelligence has formally indicated Russia as a "probable" source of the vast hacking of over 250 government and private networks and said the operation is still ongoing, almost a month after its discovery.
The attack did not spare the Department of Energy and the National Nuclear Security Administration, which maintains US nuclear weapons depots.
The US media is reporting the Russian responsibility behind the hacking. The communiqué, jointly released by four American 007 agencies - is a clear rebuke to Donald Trump's efforts to suggest, in some Twitter posts, that China is behind the attacks.
