The head of the Ministry of Emergencies of Crimea Sergei Shakhov died in a hospital for patients with coronavirus infection COVID-19. This is reported by Interfax with reference to the press service of the department.
"Yes, literally half an hour has passed since this information came ... He died in a covid hospital," the ministry said.
As the agency specifies, Shakhov was 65 years old.
In mid-December, State Duma deputy Valentin Shurchanov, who was sick with coronavirus, died.
