Tvel, which is owned by the state nuclear giant Rosatom, is mainly engaged in nuclear fuel production.

- It is a big agreement for us, and it opens up for long-term collaborations with them in this type of issue, says Joakim Lundström, business area manager at Studsvik, about the newly signed agreement.

Studsvik treats and examines irradiated reactor material and nuclear fuel from different parts of the world.

New hires

Through the new agreement, Studsvik will be able to hire about 15 people locally in the Nyköping region during the year, a work that has already begun.

- There are already some ads out there, and it is a work that will continue in the spring, says Joakim Lundström.

Earlier this year, Studsvik signed similar agreements with China and South Korea.
