Berlin (dpa / bb) - Bundesliga soccer team 1. FC Union Berlin is in contact with the Danish attacker Kasper Junker from the Norwegian champions FK Bodö / Glimt, according to a report in the "Bild" newspaper.

In view of the long-term injuries Max Kruse, Joel Pohjanpalo and Anthony Ujah, Union manager Oliver Ruhnert had promised new signings before the 2-0 win at Werder Bremen last Saturday.

According to “Bild” (Monday), the 26-year-old Junker is said to have been offered to the Köpenickers.

Center forward Junker had scored the club north of the Arctic Circle with 27 goals in 25 games for the first championship in Norway and secured the top scorer title for himself.

Bodö / Glimt was only promoted to the top division in 2017 and was one of the relegation candidates before the season ended in December.
