The star of the Egyptian national team and Liverpool club, Mohamed Salah, donated a medical oxygen tank to a hospital in northern Egypt, as a contribution to support efforts to treat Corona virus patients.

Lahcen Bakr, director of the Nagrig Charitable Society, which was founded by Salah, said in televised statements that the Egyptian star donated the installation of a medical oxygen tank (its capacity was not specified), to alleviate the suffering of Corona patients in the village of Nagrig in the Gharbia governorate.

Salah's donation comes, coinciding with the escalation of public anger over the spread of a video clip on social media platforms, for the death of 6 Corona patients in Al Husseiniya Hospital in Sharkia Governorate (northern Egypt), due to the lack of medical oxygen gas.

And on Sunday, the Egyptian Prosecution announced, in a statement, that an investigation will be conducted into how the government hospital has run out of oxygen, the measures taken in case it runs out, the number of dead, and the reasons for their death.

Egypt is witnessing a remarkable increase in the rate of HIV infections, and it has recorded a total of more than 142,000 infections, including more than 7,000 deaths.
