Löffingen (dpa / lsw) - A 26-year-old from the Black Forest allegedly pretended to be a member of the German armed forces and owned weapons without authorization.

As the police announced on Monday, at the end of December, investigators found several unauthorized weapons and parts of uniform with symbols of sovereignty and association of the Bundeswehr in his apartment.

Ammunition, an airsoft gun and pepper spray were confiscated, among other things.

The man from Löffingen (Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district) had also traveled thousands of kilometers in his car without a driver's license.

The police are also investigating him for assault.

He is said to have been involved in a dispute with an acquaintance.

The man is said to have worn the Bundeswehr badge in public without permission.

It was said that he had previously been a member of the Bundeswehr, but still wore it afterwards.

The 26-year-old now has to answer, among other things, for abuse of titles and driving without a license.

His car was confiscated.
