In Poland, 18 celebrities' Covid-19 vaccination sparks uproar

While in Poland vaccines are currently reserved for medical personnel, the Warsaw Medical University hospital vaccinated 18 names from culture and politics, causing sharp criticism in the country.

to be vaccinated against Covid-19

According to the center, the goal was to make them ambassadors for vaccination. 

But “ 

what was supposed to be a smart promotional campaign turned into a nightmare

,” says one of the vaccinated actors.

Because the circumstances of this vaccination are more than vague.

The Warsaw Medical University, which had explained that it had received additional doses of the vaccine to be used quickly, recognized many irregularities on Monday, especially in the selection of beneficiaries of this vaccination. 

The controversy sparked many reactions in the political sphere.

The Minister of Health said he was waiting for clarifications and announced that several vaccination structures will be checked in the coming days.

In all, nearly 50,000 people have been vaccinated in Poland since the start of the year.
