Health Choice Manager Mats Henningsson says that Region Sörmland follows the Swedish Public Health Agency's recommendations regarding vaccination against covid-19.

This means that it is divided into four different phases.

Phase 1

In the first phase, people living in special housing for the elderly, people with home care and home health care are vaccinated.

In Sörmland, people over the age of 90 will also be vaccinated in the first phase.

This also includes people who live with these selected people and elderly care staff.

Phase 2

In the second phase, people who are 70 years or older - who do not have home care - are vaccinated.

In addition to them, adults who receive interventions according to LSS and staff in health and care will also receive their doses.

Phase 3

In phase three, it is time for other people between the ages of 18 and 69 who belong to risk groups to be vaccinated.

Phase 4

Finally, in phase four, are people between the ages of 18 and 69 who do not belong to any risk group.

How quickly the different groups can be vaccinated depends on how many doses the region receives.

- We expect that phase four can at best start in May, says Mats Henningsson.
