It was on October 7 that people with security alarms around the country suffered from long waiting times when they pressed the alarm button.

The chaos started when the operator Tunstall changed the alarm platform.

Last week, Karlshamn made a deal with a new supplier after terminating the agreement with Tunstall.

Sölvesborg does not change supplier but has previously flagged that they demand damages from the alarm company.

"We want compensation"

Now the municipality has determined the sum and sent the demand letter to Tunstall.

- We want compensation for the costs of extra staff and closer supervision.

Customers must also have the monthly fee back when it did not work, says Lena Wilson-Ericsson, who is acting head of care in Sölvesborg.

In total, the claim from Sölvesborg municipality towards Tunstall is SEK 900,000.

Tunstall comments on the demand from the municipality.

- We can confirm that we have received a compensation claim from Sölvesborg municipality.

We will have a continued dialogue with the municipality and go through the material and the requirement together with the municipality, says Anna Bergsten from Tunstall's press department.
