Asahi Shimbun reported that Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga is coordinating to re-issue the Corona 19 emergency in some areas in the metropolitan area, including Tokyo.
According to reports, Prime Minister Suga is working to re-declare the emergency this week when it reaches four metropolitan municipalities including Tokyo, Saitama, Kanagawa and Chiba Prefecture.
On the 2nd of this month, the heads of these four metropolitan local governments, including Koike Yuriko, Governor of Tokyo, asked the Minister of Economic Regeneration of Yasuto City Nishimura to quickly review the declaration of the emergency.
Prime Minister Suga has been ignoring demands for an emergency declaration due to concerns over economic contraction.
Earlier, the Japanese government issued an emergency situation in some or all of Japan from April 7th to May 25th last year.
