On the evening of January 3, local time, Greek National Television reported that 6 passengers who arrived in Greece were diagnosed as infected with the mutant new coronavirus in laboratory tests.

The six people took the flights from the UK to Greece on December 21 and 22 last year. The rapid test of the new crown pneumonia virus at the airport was positive.

Subsequent laboratory tests found that the six people were infected with the mutant new coronavirus.

They are all under 30 years old, and all are asymptomatic infected.

Among them, the mutated new coronavirus infected by four people was consistent with the mutated virus found in the UK, and the mutated virus infected by the other two was consistent with the mutated virus found in Thailand.

At present, the 6 people are quarantined in designated hotels and will be tested for the new crown pneumonia virus again within ten days. Passengers who take the same flight as the 6 people are under epidemiological monitoring.
