Berlin (AP) - FC Schalke 04 remains a zero under its fourth coach.

The next football revelation oath in the royal blue chaos was followed by the totally frustrated Mark Uth after the unsuccessful debut of hopeful Christian Gross.

After the 3-0 defeat at Hertha BSC, the striker relentlessly described the crisis at the Revier-Club, without a win in the Bundesliga, when he called for additional personnel for a player.

“Those responsible still have to take action on the transfer market.

We need players who can help us immediately, ”demanded Uth.

Otherwise, according to the clear and honest judgment, one would be: «Not competitive»!

Even the trainer Gross, who was disenchanted as a miracle healer in the cold Olympic Stadium in the cacophony of doom, gave astonishingly open insights into the limits of his miserably started rescue mission and did not whistle Uth for his interference in the club's personnel policy.

Sports director Jochen Schneider is now “challenged day and night”, the Swiss made clear about the personnel shortcomings in the squad.

Schneider has only just taken him out of retirement life.

But: "The financial situation is critical," confessed Gross on ZDF.

Schalke could create leeway through sales.

The coach rejected speculations about an impending departure from Rabbi Matondo or Ahmet Kutucu.

"This is completely new," said Gross.

Matondo was absent from Berlin due to stomach problems, there was no request from another club for Kutucu.

At least in the coming weeks, the Swiss does not expect any further reinforcements in addition to Sead Kolasinac, who was brought back from Arsenal FC from London.

And yet the 66-year-old hopes sincerely: "That we will still sign one or the other player who has personality."

It is an indication of almost every downward trend towards second rate that the last hope is linked to individuals.

Since Gross was not really suitable for this at his premiere, it is now the turn of the midfielder Kolasinac, who is not yet eligible to play in Berlin.

The 27-year-old was recently sorted out at Arsenal like buddy and ex-Schalke Mesut Özil.

"Any approach with this quality class is good for us," said Gross.

"I'm looking forward to Seo now because he knows the club and can help us," said Uth.

When asked about the threat to end the negative record for Tasmania Berlin next Saturday with 31 Bundesliga games in a row without a win from the 1965/66 season, Gross initially looked a bit ashamed.

After a brief reflection, he countered: "It won't be the case."

Even after the premiere, his propagated means sounded like phrases.

He wanted more “efficiency” in the end and ended his Sky interview with the standard phrase “hope dies last”.

Where hope should come from remains questionable.

Schalke already has a negative record.

39 goals conceded after 14 match days have never been seen in such proud club history.

After four points at this point in the season, no one managed to stay in class.

The pattern in Berlin resembled many Schalke games.

“The first 30 or 40 minutes were okay,” Gross rightly stated.

However, every hit works like a knockout blow for the insecure team.

Hertha goalscorers Mattéo Guendouzi (36th minute), Jhon Cordoba (52nd) and Krzysztof Piatek (80th) hit Schalke in the marrow.

Gross himself with his whole habitus did not stand for the longed-for departure in the Olympic Stadium.

With his hands in his trouser pockets for most of the game, he looked more like a brooding observer than a communicator or motivator that the team would certainly need.

Whether his image as a tough dog is enough?

Even the weekly program announced by Gross did not sound like a change.

The team is scheduled to get back together for training on Tuesday.

Gross does not plan to change the processes.
