The police intervened on the night of Thursday to Friday for a case of domestic violence in Saint-Brieuc (Côtes-d'Armor), reports

Around 1 a.m. on New Year's Eve, a woman called the police station, locked in the toilet at her home.
Shortly before, her companion allegedly hit her before attempting to strangle her in front of their two children.
The individual was quickly arrested and the victim taken to the emergency room.
According to the police report, she presented "traces of strangulation on the upper neck and pain in the right arm".
She was prescribed ten days of total absence from work.
Placed in custody, the companion was brought before the prosecution on Saturday.
He will be summoned to court in the coming weeks.
While awaiting the hearing, he is prohibited from coming into contact with the victim.
