Behind a large banner, the relatives of the forties huddle against each other.

We are just here to show that the Chouviat family exists and that it will always exist as long as justice has not been held accountable

", explains Christian, Cédric Chouviat's father.

The family is demanding the suspension of the four agents involved who are still active

despite the indictment of three of them,

but also the amendment of the Global Security bill which frames the publication of videos showing the police.

A freedom that his family and loved ones intends to defend.

“

We are asked the question whether it is important to film and today I want to emphasize that.

Yes, it is important, because my father today is his only way, it is his only means of defense and that we will recall it

", ensures Sofia, the daughter of Cédric Chouviat.

"

Without images, the sound of boots

 "

With relatives, mingle anonymous like Franck Lemosquer, a yellow vest used to demonstrations and tensions with the police.

"

I could have been Cédric Chouviat, I too have children, I too work, that's why, it moved me enormously

," he confides.

Nicolas Hass is he of all the rallies against the Global Security bill with always the same sign on the back: "

Without images, the noise of boots

 ".

If tomorrow we can no longer film the police, well we will only have the sound, their statements.

This commemorative march, I am not sure we would do it if we had only had the testimony of the police,

 ”said the protester.

The march will have taken several hundred people to the Quai Branly,

where Cédric Chouviat's path

crossed that of the four police officers on January 3, 2020.
