Aue (dpa / lni) - Eintracht Braunschweig suffered a bitter defeat in the relegation battle of the 2nd Bundesliga.

Despite an early lead, the promoted team lost 1: 3 (1: 1) at FC Erzgebirge Aue on Sunday.

Fabio Kaufmann rewarded Eintracht with a good start in the 17th minute.

But Aue's U21 international Florian Krüger scored in the 42nd and 67th minutes for the hosts.

Shortly before the end, Pascal Testroet made everything clear (88th).

Shortly before the break, the 21-year-old Kruger used a corner kick extension from the former Braunschweig player Steve Breitkreuz.

In the second half he completed a counterattack, which the Auer started in their own penalty area and the Braunschweiger did not consistently prevent.

Eintracht coach Daniel Meyer had brought both Krüger and Testroet to Aue when he was coaching FC Erzgebirge.
