Hamburg (dpa / lno) - After a cigarette machine was blown up in Hamburg, the police arrested three suspects after a chase.

Witnesses had heard loud cracking noises in the Wilstorf district on Saturday at around 11:06 p.m., as the police announced on Sunday.

During the night, witnesses again reported to the police because the perpetrators had apparently returned to the scene in a car.

Then there were specific indications about the escape vehicle.

Almost 20 radio strips were looking.

Officials discovered the car described at the state border with Lower Saxony and wanted to stop it.

The driver initially slowed down, but then accelerated sharply and sped away - into Ehestorf in Lower Saxony.

There the police discovered the car on a property and arrested two 18 and 22 year old men.

A third suspect, 17 years old, was arrested at a gas station.

In the car, the police found a cash box with just under 50 euros, blasting cartridges and a small amount of narcotics.

The license plates were reported as stolen.

In the absence of grounds for detention, the three men are again at large.
