Munich (dpa / lby) - FC Bayern are facing a feasible task if they advance in the DFB Cup against Kiel - the two other teams from the Free State have caught heavier opponents.

That was the result of the round of 16 draw on Sunday for the Munich team and the second division soccer team SpVgg Greuther Fürth and SSV Jahn Regensburg.

While Bayern would meet SV Darmstadt in the round of the best 16 teams, the Fürth team have to play away at Werder Bremen.

Jahn welcomes 1. FC Köln at the beginning of February.

The former world-class ski jumper and Four Hills Tournament winner Sven Hannawald brought Bayern as a lottery in the ARD Darmstadt as an opponent.

Before that, however, coach Hansi Flick's cup defender has to win the postponed second round match at Holstein Kiel on January 13th.

In the next round, Munich would have home rights.

Jahn is also allowed to play in his own stadium for the first time this cup season - even if the home advantage in Corona times without spectators is less than normal.

After two wins on penalties at the start at 1. FC Kaiserslautern and in the second round at another third division club, Wehen Wiesbaden, the Upper Palatinate team now want to dup a Bundesliga club.

How it works, the Fürth have already shown with their coup on penalties in Hoffenheim.

The third of the 2nd division wants to create another surprise underdog.

"The next Bundesliga team is waiting for us!" Tweeted the Franks.

The game will be played on February 2nd and 3rd.

The exact schedules are not yet fixed.
