- It has been a year of trials.

In addition to the total community pandemic, we have had an exploitation of berry pickers and then the catastrophic fire on Polarbröd, says municipal councilor Tomas Egmark (S).

On August 27, Egmark told SVT Nyheter Norrbotten that his faith in the future is faltering and that it has certainly been a shitty year.

This was just a few days after the severe fire at the bread factory in Älvsbyn, which was Älvsbyn's largest private employer.

After the fire, twelve jobs have returned to the municipality, at the same time as some have chosen to commute to Polarbröd's factory in Bredbyn in Västernorrland.

Polarbröd has always stated that they work hard to build a new factory in Älvsbyn.

In the video above, you can hear how Tomas Egmark (S) himself feels around 2020 and why he refuses to be negative.
