After the furniture was stolen, a discouraged American college student received an unexpected holiday gift.

On the 29th of the local time, foreign media such as CBS in the US reported that a student at the University of New Mexico, who is living in the vicinity of the school, recently suffered a strange'theft commotion'.

Conrad Duran, who left the house where he lived with his parents to study, has always been frugal in order to save living expenses.

In particular, I was unable to afford expensive furniture such as dining tables and sofas, so I used to pick up old furniture discarded by neighbors.

One day, Duran was searching for a chair to use in the kitchen, and he found two chairs that had been rounded up along the street.

It was so old that the paint had been peeled off, and the cushion had dark mold, but Mr. Duran thought that it would be possible to use it without any problems with a simple repair, so he brought the chairs home.

But on the 24th of last month, Christmas Eve, the chairs that Mr. Duran had left in front of the house disappeared everywhere.

He had lost some items before, so he was disappointed this time thinking that some of the neighbors had stolen the chair.

Duran, who returned three days after spending Christmas at his parents' house, found strange objects in front of the front door.

There were two red chairs that looked new at a glance, and Duran was surprised to find out the identity of the chairs after a long time confused.

It was an old chair that I thought had been stolen a few days ago.

A neighbor, who didn't reveal himself, replaced the old chair cushions, installed armrests that weren't there, and left the new chair as a Christmas present. No. There was a note with the adage "It is important to keep mercy and faith toward others."

"The kindness I receive in such a difficult time," said Duran. "The chair is so beautiful and perfect," he said. "I don't know who the gift is, but I want you to know how grateful I am."
