Neuenkrichen-Vörden (dpa / lni) - The chief physician of the Clemens August Youth Clinic in Neuenkirchen-Vörden (Vechta district), Andreas Romberg, sees the Corona rules as a trigger for psychological problems in children and adolescents.

“We can already feel that the psychological stress on children and young people is particularly high.

Those affected suffer from severe depression and anxiety, ”says Romberg.

He also reckons with more mentally ill children and adolescents in the future.

The lockdown and the extended vacation would reduce the retreat of children and parents. According to Romberg, conflicts are therefore inevitable. Children and adolescents in particular, who find it difficult to integrate into groups and who also come from poorer families, are hit harder. Walks or visits to the playground would help both parents and children. It is also particularly important to keep child and youth welfare institutions open.
