January 02, 2021 Legendary American journalist Larry King, 87, has contracted Covid-19.

The American press reports.

The historic face of CNN, famous for his Larry King Live, is hospitalized in Los Angeles.

There has been a surge in coronavirus cases in Southern California.

Larry King's advanced age and poor health are of great concern and make him a high risk patient.

King has had numerous health problems, including a heart attack, prostate and lung cancer, and type 2 diabetes.

Aside from his poor health, King also has to live with the fact that his loved ones cannot visit him in the hospital.

His wife of 23 years, Shawn King, and their two children, Chance and Cannon, cannot see him due to anti-contagion regulations, although doctors and nurses at the hospital are facilitating communication between King and his loved ones.

King and his wife are still legally married and are said to be on good terms despite being in the process of divorcing.

In August 2019, Larry filed for divorce from Shawn just five months after suffering a stroke.

2020 was a tragic year for King, who lost two of his five children within a month.

Andy King, 65, died suddenly on July 28 from what his family believed to be a heart attack.

His sister, 52-year-old Chaia, who was battling lung cancer, died on August 19.
