"The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Moscow officially announces that the head of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Moscow, Police Colonel Droganov Yuri Alekseevich, has been removed from his post by decree of the President of Russia on November 4, 2020," TASS reports.

The department emphasized that the reason for Droganov's removal from office "was a report on dismissal due to seniority, giving the right to receive a pension, written of his own free will."

Earlier it was reported that Police Colonel Alexei Diokin became the interim head of the traffic police department in Moscow.
