January 02, 2021New cold shower for Donald Trump and his supporters.

Jeremy Kernodle, a Texas federal judge, dismissed a lawsuit filed by Republican Congressman from Arizona, Louie Gohmert, through which he intended to empower US Vice President Mike Pence to overturn the election results before January 6, when Pence himself will preside over the meeting of the Congress which will have to ratify the result of the vote.

In this case, not only did the judge oppose the request, but Pence himself - through his lawyers - had asked the federal judge not to grant the parliamentarian's request.

Behind the last failed attempt in Texas was the intention to transform the essentially ceremonial role of Pence, who presides over certification and opens college grade envelopes, into the ability to judge the grades themselves and their validity, potentially replacing votes given to Biden with votes to be assigned to Trump.

This is yet another (rejected) initiative launched by Trump and his supporters to overturn the outcome of the presidential elections.

An almost desperate attempt before the ratification of the vote by Congress on January 6.

A twist before January 20, the day on which Joe Biden is expected to take office, is therefore increasingly unlikely.

The constituency certified Biden's victory 306-232, and the multiple legal efforts by President Donald Trump's campaign to contest the results have so far proved futile.
