02 January 2021 Postpone the opening of high schools, in attendance, scheduled for Thursday 7 January, for organizational reasons.

This is what was asked by the trade organizations of the school world of Rome and Lazio, - including those of school managers, - who today met, in the context of a series of meetings agreed with the Prefecture of Rome for the resumption of school activities, the councilor for the Lazio School, Claudio Di Berardino, the regional school office and some representatives of the Lazio transport department.

At the moment, according to what says the Dire, the date initially indicated for the resumption of secondary school activity in attendance remains unchanged, even if the Region has confirmed that the trend of the epidemiological curve will in any case be closely monitored.

The school unions have also requested that, at the time of resumption, the duration of the hours of lessons should be changed from the current 60 minutes to 45 minutes, particularly for technical institutes.

On this aspect, according to what Dire learns, it would seem that there will be no difficulties.

Third instance presented by the school unions of Rome and Lazio, concerns the percentages of admissions by time slots of the children who will return to class.

Currently the time schedule provides that 40% of them enter the classroom at 8 and 60% at 10. The unions have asked that the two percentages be reversed, favoring a greater influx of students in the first time slot.

With regard to these last requests, it will be necessary to wait for the coordination table chaired by the Prefect of Rome, Matteo Piantedosi, to meet again.
