02 January 2021 The Region intends to continue to give the possibility to students of Apulian schools of all levels (from elementary to high school), and their families, to choose distance learning also from 7 January: the Puglia Region communicates this in a Note.

"Before issuing the ordinance - underlines the governor Michele Emiliano - we would like to meet the representatives of the school world, as we are committed to do, to share our approach with them and collect their point of view".

Emiliano together with the councilors Sebastiano Leo, Pier Luigi Lopalco and Anita Maurodinoia, has in fact called a meeting with the trade unions for tomorrow morning, to discuss and share the draft of the new ordinance on the school, in view of the reopening on 7 January.

"In times of pandemic - let the Region know - it is believed that families should be able to decide not to expose themselves to the risks deriving from compulsory attendance at school, risks that exist in the classroom as in any other place in the community".
