Releasing 28 violations of soil razing and damaging vegetation and logging in Sharjah during 2020

The teams of the External Inspection Department in the Environment and Natural Reserves Authority issued 28 violations due to razing the soil, damaging the vegetation cover, and cutting down durable and non-durable trees of national and environmental importance for the purpose of logging in the wild areas during the past year 2020, and fines were imposed on the perpetrators of those violations, with a fine of up to 10 Thousands of dirhams.

Saif Al Suwaidi, head of the Environment and Protected Areas Authority here, said: “It must be recalled and emphasized that the law prohibits the practice of activities in violation of the provisions of federal and local legislation governing the protection of the environment, which would harm the natural order of the environments of wilderness areas and cause their degradation, and negatively affect the visitors of the wild areas. And the inhabitants of those areas, such as: dredging the soil, destroying vegetation, and cutting down durable and non-durable trees of national and environmental importance, for the purpose of logging and others.

She drew attention to the importance and necessity of continuing to work to protect local plants and trees from all tampering and sabotage, and to protect them within their natural environments, as they are considered a national wealth and treasure, and the authority works to preserve these plants by multiplying them and replanting them in their natural habitats, in addition to applying strict laws to preserve It must be destroyed and destroyed in all its forms.
