Otterbach (dpa / lrs) - The police in the Palatinate are warning of fraudsters who search apartments under the pretext of Corona measures.

“Neither vaccinations nor tests take place without prior notice and prior clarifications at home in the domestic area,” the officials said on Saturday.

Even members of risk groups would not be visited unannounced by vaccination teams.

One should not let strangers into the apartment who give this as a reason for a visit.

Fraudsters could not only steal from residents, they could also endanger their health.

In the Kaiserslautern district, two women had previously rang the doorbell for an 84-year-old and stated that they would be performing a corona test.

One of the women pretended to do the test, while the other allegedly wanted to go to the toilet, but actually searched the apartment in Otterbach.

At first it was not known what damage was caused.

From January 4th, people in the country who belong to the highest priority group can make appointments for corona vaccinations by phone or online.

These are mainly people over 80 as well as employees of emergency services, outpatient care services and intensive care units.
