Dan Eliasson on the trip: It was necessary

Earlier this week, Expressen revealed that Dan Eliasson had flown to holiday paradise in the middle of the current pandemic.

This is despite the authorities' recommendations to refrain from unnecessary travel.

MSB has previously chosen not to comment on the incident, but now the main character defends his decision to go for Expressen.

Celebrated Christmas with the family

- I have made the assessment that the trip is necessary.

I have a daughter who lives here and works here.

And I celebrated Christmas with her and my family, says Dan Eliasson to the newspaper.

Late on Saturday night, Eliasson landed at Arlanda again after his holiday in the Canary Islands, he then took a back road out of the airport and disappeared into a taxi. 

Minister of Migration and Justice Morgan Johansson and Prime Minister Stefan Löfven have also been criticized for how they have handled the restrictions before and during the Christmas weekend.
