Bardowick (dpa / lni) - A fire in a hybrid car in Bardowick (Lüneburg district) caused damage of at least 100,000 euros, according to the police.
A technical defect in the car probably triggered the fire on New Year's Eve, as a police spokesman said on Saturday.
Another car that was parked under a carport next to the hybrid car was also in a full fire.
The flames spread to the carport and the roof structure of the adjacent single-family house.
The family of four in the house was able to leave the building independently and unharmed.
